Humans of the U: Marcos Van Dalen
The military as a whole values an education. If you study engineering as a student, or you get a mechanical engineering degree in the Marine Corps, that doesn’t mean you’re going to do something engineering-related. Everybody competes for their occupational specialty, their MOS, military occupational specialty.

Humans of the U: Drake Becker
I’m a freshman, born in Berkeley, California, and raised in Oakland before my family moved to Salt Lake City nine years ago. I have cerebral palsy, and I’m a disability advocate on social media. I chose to study strategic communications because my end goal is to do PR marketing for a disability-related company.
